CAP mention

In the Airborne Law Enforcement Association magazine regarding the CHP officer who crashed in Imperial a couple months ago, the article made mention that Civil Air Patrol was one of the agencies involved in the search.  I cant link the article because the issues posted on the ALEA site are a couple months behind.  ( I have the hard copy magazine)
The article just detailed the circumstances, family information, and listed several agencies by name as helping with the search.  Nothing on the cause relating to the CFIT, if we will ever know.
