For you CP people out there...
There has been an approval date added to the cadet promotion utility in the approval section. The drop down calendar will permit you to select the cadet's actual "promotion effective date" instead of it using the day you approve as the promotion date.
This should help with people being on vacation when they need to approve, etc. It should also help having to cheat the system by deleting, adding, etc achievements when you do delay hitting the submit button for some reason.

Looooonnnng overdue (read: it never should've been implemented without a user entered effective date). That has been a source of frustration on more than one occasion.
