Title: cadet fitness achievement recognition
Post by: cnichols on April 28, 2016, 10:39:47 PM
CAP appears to currently promote only two fitness-related awards.
(These are not related to the PT Beta program.)
If I have overlooked a fitness-related CAP award not related to the PT Beta program, I'd be glad to know - guide me in the right direction.

1.
The President's Active Lifestyle Award

Because the primary goal of the cadet physical fitness program, to develop a lifelong habit of exercising regularly,
is closely aligned with the President's Challenge, cadets may qualify for President's Challenge Awards.
For details, see President's Challenge.  https://www.presidentschallenge.org/index.shtml (https://www.presidentschallenge.org/index.shtml)

2.
The Presidential Physical Fitness Award

Because the cadet physical fitness test is aligned with the PCPFS fitness test, cadets may be eligible for awards sponsored by the President's Council.
For more information, see CAPP 52-18, page 29.

In regards to the six PT Beta awards listed in the CAP PT Beta manual, CAP Headquarters hasn't replied to my (mid-February 2016) email requests for more information.
Is there anything I can do to encourage a response?

CP Manager Joanna Lee is in charge of the Active Cadet program.  You can reach her at the NHQ toll free number, then x413.  She will be able to answer all your questions.
