Title: Net logging software
Post by: ♠SARKID♠ on October 07, 2008, 05:41:54 PM
Does anybody know of a good program to log an individual's participation in radio nets?  I designed an excel spreadsheet with some auto formats that works great, but I kind of wanted a program specifically for logging.  Also, I'm not about to download and install the unholy multitude of logging programs just to find the one I like.

Here's the spreadsheet I designed

It has some autoformats to highlight when contact was or wasn't made.  I was going to add an AF to display the wing/region from a dropdown list depending on what net was entered into the box but I wanted to find a program before I tried that.

Something like this could work http://www.qsl.net/kc8opv/squirl-fd/

I think you can tinker with it and change the numbers to call signs and such

The more I play with that ^ the more I like it.  VERY simple, and comprehensive enough for even mission logging.

I have emailed the creator to see if he'd be willing to work in partnership to modify it for CAP use.  I'll let you know what I find out.
