Apparently a glider crashed with 1 SM and 1 cadet on board during an o-ride flight on Saturday.
Everyone ok.
Sort of surprised we hadn't heard about it.

All the responsible people from National are on their ways to San Diego.

Well it's bad press, that's not the purpose of PAO's.

Interesting to note it was a 74 year old senior member pilot with a 12 year old cadet member. :(

Wonder if this will trigger again National looking at any age limits for pilots flying cadets ???

Much ado about nothing.

There is a thin line between landing a glider and crashing a glider. No matter what the thing is going to come down.

Aviation has a perfect record, we've never left one up there yet, powered or unpowered.

As an experienced glider and soaring pilot, I call bovine quadruped excrement on this statement!
