Today marks four years since the passing of Ltc. Phillip Aye, a friend to several of us on this board. You guys mght remember the original thread http://captalk.net/index.php?topic=8734.msg161526#msg161526.

Miss ya, buddy! Lots of folks in KSWG are thinking of you today.
"And Saint Attila raised the Holy Hand Grenade up on high saying, "Oh Lord, Bless us this Holy Hand Grenade, and with it smash our enemies to tiny bits. And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs, and stoats, and orangutans, and breakfast cereals, and lima bean-"

" Skip a bit, brother."

"And then the Lord spake, saying: "First, shalt thou take out the holy pin. Then shalt thou count to three. No more, no less. "Three" shall be the number of the counting, and the number of the counting shall be three. "Four" shalt thou not count, and neither count thou two, execpting that thou then goest on to three. Five is RIGHT OUT. Once the number three, being the third number be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade to-wards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuffit. Amen."

This topic has been on my mind for three days now.  Yesterday was a very difficult day for many folks across the country.  Lt Col Aye touched the lives of many members.  I just hope that those members remember the lessons learned and pass them along to those that they are now teaching.  This is the best way to honor his memory.  Two things that he constantly preached to his people:  "The Mission Comes First" and "Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome".

It doesn't seem like 4 years, but it wont seem like 5 or 6 or 10.

You are truly missed sir!

HOOAH!
