Greetings, it's time to ramp up for Virtual Fighter Weapons School 2010!
http://www.vfws.org

This website contains instructions on how to apply.
There are only 12 slots for this activity, so get your application in by deadline!

A few differences from previous years:
1.  Now VFWS is 7 full days long, instead of 6.
2.  Now VFWS is located at Lambert IAP St. Louis, MO

QuoteAs a fighter pilot I know from my own experiences how decisive surprise and luck can be for success, which in the long run comes only to the one who combines daring with cool thinking.
— General Adolf Galland, Luftwaffe.

QuoteThe aggressive spirit, the offensive, is the chief thing everywhere in war, and the air is no exception.
— Baron Manfred von Richthofen

QuoteOf all my accomplishments I may have achieved during the war, I am proudest of the fact that I never lost a wingman.
— Colonel Erich 'Bubi' Hartmann, GAF.

Umm....scrolled to the bottom of the website pages there.  Can we get some US fighter aces/jocks or Generals quotes instead of Germans?  I do not understand??  Is this a recruiting program for the German Military??

This is what I see:

QuoteThe first time I ever saw a jet, I shot it down. — General Chuck Yeager, USAF

QuoteTo be a good fighter pilot, there is one prime requisite — think fast, and act faster.— Major John T. Godfrey, USAAF

And there are two sides of any fight...

^ Your two to my three......I win.  I guess I will still pass this on to my Cadets to see if there is interest.  It does seem like a cool activity, but that many hours in front of a computer is not my cup of tea.

False.
The dates overlapped by one day for vfws and missouri wing encampment in 2009.
This year, in 2010, they aren't even on the same month (vfws in june, mo encampment in july)
