I will try when I get home.  Maybe it will work.
(Are mics very expensive?  ???  The one I had, was my Dad's)
Thanks.   :D

I the mic I have was purchased at Wal-Mart for 8 bucks.

Yep, $8.38.  I just bought that one today.  Good mic!

Like Recuiter said,  Teamspeak is AWESOME!!! If you have a mic and you want to learn more about CAP or want to discuss CAP with knowledgeable people, then Teamspeak is for you.  It is extremely easy to download (even with my slow computer) and the connection is very good.  Thank you Lt. Col Nick Critelli, for this wonderful opportunity.  ;D

I'll be on in a minute. I forgot my log in name, and tried to enter too many times. My IP is banned for 10 minutes.

Unlike CapTalk the BBS, CapTalk Teamspeak does not allow anonymous logins. You must use and display your real name and rank.

Excellent idea.  If an idea or attitude is worth having, it is worth claiming.  I don't have VoiP capability or a CAPID (yet), do you guys do mIRC?

Doug, if you run Echolink, I'm sure a few of us could jump on sometime for a QSO.

Ryan,

I appreciate the offer.  I am such a technological dinosaur that I don't know what Echolink is.  Don't take up bandwidth explaining it, I have a twenty-five year old peripatetic daughter, I will go pick her brain.

I don't know how many of you are aware of Meebo. It's a web based chat/IM client that you access via your web browser.

http://www.meebo.com

You don't have to have an AIM, Yahoo, Google Talk, MSN Messenger ID to use the service, but if you do, you can access them all at the same time from the same interface. Kind of like a web based version of Trillian or GAIM.

If you do have more than one IM ID for the above mentioned services you can be logged into them simultaneously.

I use this at work because they block all the ports used by the IM clients I'd like to use. All the traffic goes over port 80.

NOW... the real reason for mentioning this. They have recently added a 'Meebo Rooms' feature where you can create the 'room' of your choice, and people can get in there and chat.

Anyone interested in giving it a try?
