State Defence Forces

Wanted to see if anyone was also a member of their state defence force as well.  If so what's it like, what sort of things do you do?  How often do you meet?

Not a member, but do work somewhat close with them for my job with the EMA (they work the sign in desk at the EOC during an activiation).  They also are involved in the state's CERT program.  Here is their website (for Alabama):

One thing i forgot to add, is that the Birmingham Brigade shares a building with the CAP unit at the 117th Air Refueling Wing (ALANG) base at the B'ham Airport.
