Recently I noticed a task under SQTR Entry titled "CAP ES Awards (CAPR 35-6)". Clicking into it, I found that it allowed you to award various badges and awards (ES Patch, GT badge etc) electronically. I went through our list (small squadron) and awarded everything I could get away with, it passed up the chain and was approved and now all it lists is "CAP ES Awards (CAPR 35-6)" under ES quals in E-services. Does it show anywhere which awards have been given or do you have to dig back into the SQTR portion to see what a person has earned? Does anyone know if this is supposed to replace CAPF2as for awarding these?

Couldn't find it, what are exactly the steps to get to it?

My Operations Qualifications - Emergency Services - SQTR Entry.

Just like you would go to enter GTM tasks or the like.

Too bad it doesn't show up in the page that shows your member ribbon, COP, and others. Still, that's pretty cool.

It does show up on the member search report.  Under the section that shows ES qualifications it has an entry for "ES Awards."

Found it.  That is pretty slick.  Recruiter, is there one where you can imput ribbons too?

Man, I thought I was up to speed with this stuff... look what happens when you spend too much time at your paying job.

floridacyclist originally posted, but I'll be glad to help. There isn't one for ribbons. The only ribbons it would should have to have awards such as the Yeager Ribbon, Curry, etc. Now if they would put something like that on eServices, that would be great too!

Haven't seen a way to specify which award.  Just a thought...I do the 2a's as a paper back-up, for 2 reasons: the computer might lose the data, and to prove someone didn't get "electronically generous" one day.

Without going into details, someone had many quals in MIMS that could not be substantiated by any shred of paperwork, and that incident has made me hyper-vigilant about documenting EVERYTHING.

If you're awarding the Ground Team badge, I also recommend you print out the cool certificates from FL/TX wings: http://www.texascadet.org/resources/miscresources/certificates/index.html
(Hosted on the TX Wing page by CAPTALK's own AlphaSigOU).  I give the member a copy on heavy stock, and run a B&W, regular weight copy for their sq file.  Just my .02...

As far as the ribbons, SIMS does a great job with that.  Wish it were in MIMS, but...

A while back I was asking about the T-34 patch as line art....the reason I wanted it was so I could do such a certificate using the older patch, or perhaps even both patches.

My line art is still in work. I guess I need to move it closer to the top of my stack.

Same here. My boss told me to remove Illustrator from my work computer and cut deeply into the free time I have to work on projects like this.

That would be sharp!  An ES patch certificate with the patch of your choice as a watermark or center emblem.  Looking forward to seeing that.

I *think* I am entitled to the ES Patch so I tried to enter it in e-services. Apparently it got approved by my unit  ESO but has been stalled for months at the "pending group approval" stage. Somehow, I don't think it is a high priority for anyone to puch the button on it...

You could always email up the chain with a polite inquiry about the status of it. Chance are the group ESO is going to say "Huh?"
