What's the scuttlebutt on National Cadet Competition going away, and PJOC being scrubbed for 2024?

There will no longer be a national event in Dayton each summer. The eight regional winners will be announced and celebrated at the national level.  Per the CSAG, NHQ Cadet Programs is working to put out an announcement in December on the changes to the NCC program.

Sad. Staffed 5 (?) of them as one of the official photographers before the "strategic pause" a few years before COVID.

I am not surprised to see it be retired. After the "strategic pause", it didn't seem to carry the same interest in the field any longer, at least within my field of view, and the various aspects are likely better served with other NCSAs.
