Just found this amazing site on the history of CAP Insignia. I'm sure some of you have seen it before, but for those who haven't, it is definitely worth a look! Has tons of other historical info, too. https://www.scribd.com/doc/66087730/Civil-Air-Patrol-Uniform-Insignia-Since-1941-1st-Edition

That's not a CAP Historical site, per se, Scribd, that's a site that scrapes the net for
ebooks and audiobooks, posts them and charges for access.

In this case an eBook or scanned .pdf of a book written by Preston B. Perrenot in 2009.

Scribd has had a history of copyright infringement claims against it.

That tome is in its 5th or 6th edition by now.  If you shoot Col. Perrenot a nice email, he might send you a digital copy. It builds on Col. Louisa Morse's earlier works, with modern graphics.

Scribd isn't the only one that does that.  There are some people on Amazon that do the same thing (the book is NOT $63.00 and it's up to the 7th Edition).  I use an online publisher that sells the books on Amazon for about $40.00.  Just search by my name.  And yes, digital copies are free to CAP members.  Just shoot me an email at pperrenot@cap.gov.

And thanks for your interest.
