Does anyone have any Professional Development Status Boards they'd like to share?  All examples are welcome.

Hate reinventing the wheel!

Thanks!

I think we used to have one back in the "bad old" days before everything got...so...much....better....with....computers.  >:D

What's a Professional Development Status board?

Showing who's done what in the wing, PD-wise?

What I use mine for is a snapshot at any given time of

1) What PD Training people have (and therefore what they need)

2) I also use it as a checklist for people by PD Level

So Level II would be a list of people along the left side, requirements across the top and x's in the boxes that they fulfilled

National HQ used to have a chart like that, but I haven't seen one in decades.

I used Google Docs in a similar manner for my unit's ES quals. It's simpler, in that I have just check boxes for completes, trainees and fully qual'd people, but it does give a nice "at-a-glance" perspective when I plan training events.

Same here. It was similar to what we had on active duty in the S-3 room.

If you want to PM me your email address, I will send you a pretty decent spreadsheet that I used when I was a squadron commander.

Here's a professional development worksheet I use for PD tracking in my squadron. It's designed to printed two-sided.

What we need are senior member versions of the Super Cadet Chart and the Personal Cadet Tracker.  In full color and designed with Tufte rules in mind.

Some way to incorporate the subtasks of a member's specialty track would be helpful as well.

Or, I can attach it here, I guess. (Or, I can only upload a .pdf showing how the Excel looks...)

I haven't updated it since the PD program changed and moved the Yeager from optional in Level II to mandatory in Level III. Also, some of the conditional formatting got messed up when Excel changed and I haven't taken time to get it right.

The "Overview" and "Admin/PD" tabs were the only ones that I ever really developed. The rest was sort of placeholders that are still holding my places.

It would be handy if this could be auto-populated from the CAPWatch download, but that is way beyond my current skills.

I appreciate any feedback.

We have a tabloid sized marker board in portrait position with names, columns and X's.
..and people seem to fall off it when they reach Level V. :(
I think we need to stay on there to be motivators.. :)

^ now that is what I am thinking to show PD progress. Level V guys & gals should be mentors for those at Level I.   8)

It would too if you had mentors who acted like mentors and did some actual training of their men tees.

Hate iPad.  We need mentors to take an active part in training their mentees.
