Thank You for the post Hawk_Girl. I actually went to Hawk to LEARN SAR. Before I went to the school I honestly didn't like Ranger parade (which is only worn at the school). Now I see it as something that didn't start yesterday and many members stood in the same parade field I stood for the past 55+ years, and I like it now and wear it with honor.
I know there are people that say that all rangers have a bad attitude, and this is only partially true. Not all rangers are like that. I don't think that I am a better cadet than someone who went to NESA. I might have more advanced training but that doesn't make me better than them. I really don't care where you went, as long as you can do the job right, I'm good.
