WMIRS mission status map

If you go into WMIRS and open up the tools and utilities link you get an option to show a mission status map.  The map is coded green for states in standby, yellow in states pending approval for misisons, and red for wings on mission. 

Is this map ever actually right?  Today, for example, no states are shown on mission, but I found several open ELT missions for today pretty easily.  Anyone know how that map is supposed to work?

I usually check it when we get a redcap and it doesn't seem to get updated.

However it was current during the flooding when I had teams out for that.

So, my guess would be that it is most accurate for corporate missions and not necessarily for RCC missions

I don't think that is the case, otherwise the whole country would be lit up as there is probably a CAP plane flying somewhere in every state every day. 

You would think it is automatically linked to something in WMIRs and that there isn't any human invovlement, but maybe they do go in and manually update it when there is a "real" mission of some kind.
