If you mean the center compartment splits all the way open and lays flat then yes, and I mean the GT handbook/task guide/ground team Bible.

That's not an issue pack, but it looks like a good one. Similar to the assault pack that the Army does issue. Thought you were talking about the issue rucks.

ehh I thought it was lol, but apparently not  oh well.  I should be testing one in two weeks at a SAREX so i'll see how it does.

Umm, howdy there folks, I dont mean to "beat a dead horse" but i have jsut recently dug an old medium size alice pack out of the supply, and for the life of me i couldnt make it fit onto a frame, does anyone have any idea why this might be?

For the time being, however, i have jsut "rigged" the pack to an old pilots survival vest with a generous amount of "gorilla tape" but its not the most comfortable thing.  :-\

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Somewhere on the web I found and saved scans of the Alice Pack manual. I used them to figure out how to connect the straps when I put my medium pack together. I don't remember where they were found, so I created a web page with links to the images.

Hope this helps you.
