As a member of that generation I'd have to agree with you.

I strongly disagree.  I joined cap when I was 18 and stuck with it.  I also joined the local first aid squad, and even ran for office and was elected at the age of 23 for city council.  Service is important and many others in this age range love it.  However, not everyone knows about CAP.  I was 20 when I joined the local first aid squad and many fellow volunteers were younger than me.  I am now 28 and have had the honor of serving with various squadrons.  Depending on where you are, the demographics for seniors vary greatly from unit to unit.  I have no answer as to why, but it's not because of laziness.  Just my 2 cents.
