Sign your name on a piece of paper, scan it, crop the picture as necessary.  Insert the picture like you would any other. Done.

I use paint.net as a photo program here are the instructions should you choose to use that.

No, that still results in a white background.

Transparent .gifs have no "fill color", so they sit on top of what ever they are displayed on and allow the background color to show through.

You'll notice the background of the second one changes as it moves up the posting ladder and the background changes.

I used Illustrator and my Wacom pen tablet to create an EPS signature file. It's transparent, scaleable and easy to plop in. It's a beautiful thing.

I've created transparent sigs for a number of my unit cc's and staff for various forms, memos, etc.

The really great thing is that when printed to .PDF, the pasted graphic sig is virtually indistinguishable from a wet sig, and since we all live in electronic forms, wa-la!

It allows you to place the sig "over" text, without it reformatting the document or blanking out
areas with the white background for a natural look.

Brasda91, if yo are having trouble, I'll do it for you if you send me a clear electronic copy of your sig in black ink on white paper.

(same goes for anyone else here who needs help, I can work with a wet sig, too, if you don't have a scanner, PM me for details).
