On the topic of World War II re-enacting ... here's a fellow I portray from time to time.  The Peachtree City, GA., Heritage Days is using my picture as one of their online ads for their 2011 gathering.  I'm rather honored.

I am here until Saturday afternoon: http://www.conexpoconagg.com/

Nothing beats the glitz and glamor of Las Vegas!  This is my "office"...

The booth across from mine is CRI - the company that rescued the Chilean minors.  They have one of the Fenix 2
capsules - suffice to say I would still be down there.

But, your so......thin?

Stonewall

I've only lost 10 lbs.  Well, 15, but then I gained 5 back.  Came here at 195, now hovering around 185.  50 lbs of gear @ 12 hours a day + daily PT = calories burned.  Hard to eat enough.
Serving since 1987.

I'd call it more of a dust bowl than a sand box, but yeah, I'm deployed.

Me at #2 son's First Communion this afternoon...

Conversation went something like this:

Spouse:  "I picked up all the cleaning."
Me: "Great, we're all set for the weekend..."
Me (at about 1030 for a 1pm service): "Um, where's my dress pants? They aren't in any of the bags."
Spouse: "Well, they said they gave me everything we dropped off."
Me:"Looks like everything from encampment is missing, two pairs of gray slacks, plus my uniform pants, and several shirts!"
Me:"Just FYI, I have nothing dressy to wear."

Spouse: "You know where Olive Garden is?  DXL is next door, they open at 11."
For the uninitiated, "tall" at Sears or JC Penney (or most other retailers) = "30 Long", I am 34/36, and forget
about getting 37/38 shirts any place "normal" off the shelf.  Also, DXL opens at noon, not 11.

Doors open: 12:00
Pants, shirt, tie, belt, paid: 12:07
Home: 12:25
Arrive church: 12:55pm

Complements all day on my excellent color choices.   :D

Not really...I've met Gen Yeager several times.  But...he was not my pilot....But the jet was the one he used for the 50th Anniversary flight of breaking the sound barrier and for his final AF ride.  Both at Edwards AFB.

Still it was a great flight... Mach 1.25.

So I have flow from the very fast in the Eagle to very slow with 1.6 hours logged flying the Goodyear Blimp.
If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

2+ weeks of 95+ temps plus fire hose rain divided by letting the PH get out of balance = drain, wash with bleach, and refill.

Left was last Friday, right is yesterday.
