"Eagerness and thrill seeking in others' misery is psychologically corrosive, and is also rampant in EMS. It's a natural danger of the job. It will be something to keep under control, something to fight against."

I am chief and approaching 2nd lt...

is <<https://www.shopmyexchange.com/air-force-officer-service-dress-coat/1847029>> the only place to buy the coat?

If you already have a service coat(AF enlisted, old style, whatever), then don't even worry about getting a new coat. As a cadet officer, you can simply sew the velcro for the shoulder boards directly on to the shoulders of the enlisted jacket or old style epaulet(I've done both as a cadet). The only people who NEED the AF officer jackets are CAP SM officers who need to wear slide on rank.

If you don't already have one, I'd look at some of the other options that I'd mentioned in my reply, and would certainly look around at thrift stores/mil surplus stores for one.
