My squadron has never done a BCT and I was wondering what you do at a BCT if you are a basic?

Okay, what's a BCT. ???      I know in some parts of the military, BCT stands for Basic Combat Training.  Something I hope a CAP unit is not doing.

If what you mean by BCT as Basic Cadet Training, then here is some of what you do. I am my squadron's former BCT Flight Sergeant, so I have a pretty good idea. In BCT, you learn the basic of CAP, it's history, what you need for the Curry, etc. It is generally 6-8 weeks long, and the majority of the training is on the squadron meeting nights, with training on a Saturday optional. It can be tough, but rewarding. I went through BCT at one squadron, and as I said earlier, became the BCT Flight Sergeant at a different squadron later. I hope this helps.

That's where I got most of my material.
