I have a .38 caliber pistol made in Brazil (Brasil?) by the Taurus Manufacturing Company that is an exact duplicate of a Smith and Wesson Chief's Special, only cheaper.

Is anybody picking up on a pattern here?

Yeah...that Taurus makes knock-offs.  Their revolvers are alright, but you should get a Springfield XD.  Especially since you are closer to Brazil and more likely to get sent first for the invasion.  I have a feeling it will be BYOW.

The Taurus is just my carry-around piece.  My real gun is a Springfield Armory M-1911A1.  I've carried the G.I. issue .45 since I was a cherry-cheeked 18-year-old brand-new Navy hospital corpsman.

When I bought my new house and applied for insurance, the Insurance Telephone Lady asked my if I had a "Security Alarm System."  I told her I had a 70-pound dog and a .45 caliber pistol, what did I need an alarm for?

The dog is really friendly but barks loud.  The guy with the .45 doesn't bark at all, but is very mean.

mmmm M1911.     <3  I guess a M1911 can be a bit big for a carry piece depending on your shape.  I was hoping that I'd look more like my avatar so that I can carry a S&W 500 (in the really big frame).     My service model XD isn't small, but it conceals ok, and we're an open carry state anyway (although I prefer it stay hidden).

Guess its time to put all the cadet sq's on 48hr deployment notice. TP is gonna have to send emails to a lot of school principals. Can't have the cadets getting detention for missing PE when they are busy invading Brazil.  I guess the President could just make the announcement that "The US CAP cadet forces presently engaged in hostile actions against the unstable and dangerous government of Brazil are granted a Presidential Pardon from all classes and detentions resulting from absences due to deployment and the national security needs of the country"
