That same page also shows 31 March as the notification date for scholarships.

QuoteCadet Lift and TOP Cadets who applied by 15 Jan 2019 will receive notification of financial assistance before the NCSA deposit deadline. Recipients of scholarships or pre-enrollment into Cadet Wings will be announced by end of March.

SarDragon

It appears that some were announced 3/31, others will be announced 4/30.

CAP isn't very good with keeping their time commitments:

I was told I would get a welcome letter for my NCSA no later than the 15 of March. I got it a week later.
I was told that I would hear from the TOP program before the deposit deadline for NCSA's (March 31) and heard back April 2nd (forcing me to make a deposit afraid I would loose my slot).
The TOP program was supposed to help me pay by April 15 form my NCSA.  On April 22n'd they sent an email saying they needed more time - still haven't gotten an update.

I wouldn't be surprised if they announce the scholarship winners a week or two late. I think they ended up doing that last year as well.

It appears to be more than a week or two late already. Supposed to be announced by March 31st/April 1st. It's now May 1st. Last year they were announced April 10th.

I hope so!  :)

Maybe try contacting the director of scholarships (Wendy Hamilton) directly?

She's good about getting back to you.  It sounds like they've got their hands full with the flight scholarships.

+1 : If someone from NHQ is reading this, please keep us somewhat informed.

Anyone hear yet?  I sent an email to Wendy Hamilton on May 1st but received no response.

I contacted NHQ more than a month ago, waited three weeks and got no response. Emailed a second time and still haven't heard... The lack of communication is pretty disappointing.

Capmonkey

Guys... it's a volunteer organization. Yes, NHQ is paid staff, but they still have a lot on their plates. Be patient and wait.

That's usually my general stance, but in this case there are very serious real-world consequences.
Bills have to be paid, travel arrangements made, and there are a number of activities which have already started.

At this point cadets are likely starting to make go / no-go decisions, which in turn impact the viability of the activities
in question.

To me, the wait is no big deal. I completely understand they're probably extremely busy, what with Encampment season around the corner, NCSAs to plan and coordinate, etc. However, the complete lack of any sort of updates/communication to candidates is what disappoints me. It doesn't take long to post a simple Facebook message on the national page explaining the estimated release date. Or better yet, the scholarship page on the official website since it's clear they've been updating the page with new submission deadlines for finalists.  :)

Things back up. It gets busy. Stuff happens. But you still communicate why it's held up. You don't leave people in the dark.

Talking with the full-time crew, it appears that after a final QC review, the announcements go out today.

Wing Commanders received them this evening (a standard courtesy practice).
They'll post tomorrow and recipients will get their notice tomorrow.

:) I'm really grateful, albeit confused ???, to receive one this year! Just finished freshman year of college, haven't participated regularly since last July - wasn't selected last year despite being much more active.

Where / how / who generates these reports?

Anything out of eServices, this included, is just a mess - merged fields, it's not sorted in any
meaningful way, the fields are dirty, merged, such a hassle.

Edit: Confirmed - there are names in the 4 times for the same scholarship.

I'm not sure what you are looking at, but the list I see looks fine. I do not see any duplications in individual categories, while there a couple of multiple recipients - specifically CAP Cadet Academic and USAFA Preparatory School Recommendation. There are four sorts, and they all seem to be in the proper order.

There are multiple academic scholarships going to the same person?

I see one name on there 4 times for the same thing.

It's because there are 4 different reports with the same info. Look at the top of the page for the breakdown:
...by Award Type
...by Last Name
...by Wing
...by Region

Eclipse

^ Thank you, I see that now and also I rest my case above.

Why produce a single report sorted by Region/Wing/Unit/Last/First when you can just throw
a mess on the floor and let people figure it out?

Or even better, a spreadsheet and let people sort it anyway they like.
