The U.S. Army Cadet Corps' Annual Training commenced yesterday at the National Cadet Training Center in Millersburg, Kentucky.

Shown above is a Cadet Ranger Candidate getting his first introduction to "the pit."  Cadet Ranger Challenge (3 weeks) and Cadet Ranger School (3 additional weeks), and the Troop Handler Academy (1 week for Cadets chosen to lead our nearly 200 inbound recruits), are USAC's premier training program.   Cadet Ranger School and Troop Handler Academy started yesterday with 30 Cadets from as far away as California, Florida and China attending.

USAC will host a variety of training this summer, with two Basic Cadet Training programs (2 weeks); Cadet NCO Academy (3 weeks); Cadet Combat Engineer School (3 weeks); Cadet Military Police Academy (2 weeks); The Army Cadets Martial Arts Program (TACMAP) (1 week); and the Cadet Joint Service Honor Guard Academy (2 weeks).   We will also host 28 British Cadets of the Army Cadet Force and an officer from Trinidad.

For details our various programs, watch our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/usac.stratcom

The National Cadet Training Center is also home to Forest Hill Military Academy.

Make sure that Chinese 16 year old isn't like their gymnasts, 22, and a spy. ;)

Danger

I would do unspeakable things to be an army cadet. Too bad there aren't any units in MN and the camp is beyond expensive.  :-[

No, thus the ;)

Sorry but  ;) is not a get out of jail free card for any and all comments.

Besides, in trying to make your "joke" you have it backwards.  It wasn't that the Chinese gymnasts were accused of being older; they were actually accused of being younger. 16 is the minimum age to compete as a gymnast but some folks accused a few of the Chinese girls of being only 14 or 15.

Yea, fully get that they were younger, but in terms of spying, this is the inverse. If those were in fact 16 year olds, thena spy can pass for a teen.
