So, we get this email stating the Wing Competition is "rescheduled" to a yet to be announced date. How can this be? We were informed, by our previous Dir. of Cadet Programs, in August of our slated time and location. Now, we have cadets who have other commitments, wondering if we are going to have to forfeit the competition. This effects EVERYONE!! Senior members who have business travel scheduled, parents who have scheduled their calenders around the original date, and cadets who have worked MONTHS preparing to compete, only to find that they may lose their chance to compete, all because of Wing's inability to coordinate activities!!! Aaarrgh!!!!! ??? ???

It happens.

It can be frustrating, but whether in a volunteer organization, the military, or the corporate world, things will change... sometimes with even less notice than this scenario.  The ability to adapt, do your best, and press on in the face of difficulty is a good leadership trait.

Hey, no problem.  We've all been there with things of this nature.  The key is to press on and figure out a way to excel anyway, even though sometimes it just plain sucks.    ;)
