Does anyone have the dates and cost for this? In 2008 it was 2 weekends in April.

Tentatively scheduled for 17-19, and 24-26 Apr 2009.  We are still pending approval from the Navy on those dates.

And, to my knowledge the price has not been set in 2008 it was 35 for seniors and 70 for cadets and will likely be in the same ballpark for 2009. All of these details should be firmed up in the next week or two.

Ok. Could you post when you have it? Thanks. This qualifies for the basic encampment credit right? And for the encampment ribbon for seniors that are on staff?

Yes on both - as soon as we can we'll get info out.

If you have cadets interested in staff positions, I would encourage them to start putting their packets together now.
The requirements, etc., will not change much, if at all, from 2008.

I am considering going to the Spring encampent to see what it is like.  I do have a question though: For the First Sergeant Staff Position is it an Encampment First Sergeant or several First Sergeants for each squadron?

There is one First Sergeant.

I would encourage you to apply, and soon.  You should send off your pre-application (email of intentions) as soon as you have it ready.

Major,
Could you post the time and location of RST for those of us that have never been to GLNTC?

Details will be forthcoming via direct email to all participants - we've had some unanticipated delays in getting the cadet staff set so we're a little behind the clock this year.

OK, RST is in the can - we have to do a makeup for a few who missed it, but all indications were that the staff
came together nicely and are busy working on take-home assignments for next month.

Support flight is closed and there will no ATS this year.

I received a nice packet of Basic apps this morning, but the clock is ticking, let's get those apps in the mail this week!

and please don't send applications with a signature required.
Just let me know you've put it in the mail and I can slot your cadet into the activity.
I still need to know, however, that you are coming by this Saturday.

I found this while looking up something for Spring 2010.

http://www.navy.mil/management/videodb/player/video.aspx?id=5020

It has some great shots of the base during the early phases of the now nearly completed recapitalization.
We stayed on the Enterprise a couple of years ago.

About mid-point, if you look sharp, you'll see a very early wear-test version of the NWU, as well as a few seconds of vintage shots of the NTC parade grounds.
