Does anyone know if the EMT Patches shown here are authorized on the BDU uniform?

From what I am reading it looks like this answer is stating that these patches are worn 1/2 inch above the CAP tape or is it actually refering to the EMT specialty badge and not the patches shown in the image.  In the past, I thought the EMT patches were worn centered on the upper left pocket.  Does anyone know if that is still the case or did the badge replace the patch?  Thanks!!

I thought the patches were no longer authorized once they made an EMT badge for BDU's. No reason to have two emblems signifying the same thing.

The answer shown on KB is wear criteria for a badge.

Yeah... apparently the Knowledgebase doesn't know the difference between Patches and Badges. Too bad too, cuz it's pretty important to know if you want to wear your uniform correctly.

IIRC, authorization for the patch went away in the 2006 revision to the 39-1.  Looking at when that question was created (Nov, 04), the answer is technically correct.

Too bad they didn't update the answer.

FYI- based on your feedback I contacted the KB admin and they pulled it for review.  Thanks for all of your help!!
