So, which of these candidates is the ULTIMATE CAPTALKER.  Some are moderators, some simply have free time to discuss CAP...what say you?

I have plenty of ideas to talk about, but I don't think that that qualifies for "Best CapTalker."  Besides there are plenty of others that have great posts, but haven't been here for so long, so the post counts aren't as high as some others.  Just my $.02

TO keep this most constructive. What do you consider to be an "ideal post?"  Is it potential for debate or information?

Information I need.  I could debate a bedpost over the placement of the rug.

I try to use these forums to present solutions/create solutions and use the natural "Devil's Advocacy" feature to test ideas I have for the unit.

For example, if this thread works out, I can use it to design better posts.

Where has lordmonar been lately?  I see that the unnamed one has been going after him on his site.

DNall

Magically DNall shows up and posts. But probably just to raise his post total  ;D

I'm here.....I've just been lurking lately....and avoiding brining up the topic of the Unnamed One here.....we've done that enough and I have gotten enough threads locked.

I've talked with a couple of his sock-puppets on other sites.

I've got nothing new to add....my story does not change.... ;D

That I am listed as #8 is likely indicative of the "problem".

For years I was aware of, but avoided these boards primarily because of my inability to
let an argument, no matter how silly, lie on the table. Those of you with whom I
have bumped heads know that.

About two years ago I found myself unexpectedly "without portfolio", and with all that time
on my hands engaged full time on these boards.

It was pointed out to me recently, in a very direct fashion, that this involvement is visible to
people who's opinions matter in terms of my CAP career, and I need to choose my words, and
my battles, more wisely.

Thus my recent removal of any easily identifiable personal data, and change to near lurker status

Interestingly, I find myself once again "without portfolio", so it should be interesting (at least to me personally) which will win - good sense or free time.

What I am actively doing now is avoiding entanglement in an thread withmore than a few responses as these are likely opinion-based "discussions", and just keeping an eye for legit questions which I can assist with quoting regs or experience, without arguing.

Nice to have you back Dnall.  Hows the service treating you?

I think "Sparky" is trying to catch up and be the top CAPtalker.

When he started this thread he had 1279, in less than what, 5 hours, he's managed 34 more posts.

Can you tell I'm bored?

OK, I'm going to bed...you found me out!  I'm not posting so much to "up my count," but there is a method to my madness.  However, I give up!!!

It's been said that we have two ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk, but since we have ten fingers, does that mean we should post ten times as much?  :D

I usually only post for those issued that I wish to "Chime" in on...While I am usually of a competitive nature, I think I'll just be happy to become "Salty".

Only need a couple of hundred more posts........
