"Cadet Programs 75th Anniversary. 1 October 2017 marks the 75th anniversary of the Cadet Program. The National
Cadet Team is planning a variety of commemorations for the cadet community over the next year. All are encouraged
to participate in National celebrations or with local opportunities. Keep an eye out for the kickoff memo with more
details in late January on the Cadet Blog."

As of 2 March, no mention of it.

But there is a new choice on the left which is a link to a webpage that has a broken graphic.

And some sweet pins being considered:

Honestly, I don't understand why these initiatives wind up being super-secret and rolled out late.
If you're going to kick this off as an anniversary year, then that doesn't start for another 8 months.
If you're going to kick off the year leading up to it, you've already lost 5 months.

This is the kind of thing that could actually be a big deal, with national media buys, coordinated through-to-the-unit recruiting
and PA efforts, and a general push from top to bottom that "this is the year".  Why wasn't this
discussed last year for planning and budgeting "Get ready for your 'Year of the cadet' celebrations in FY2017!"?

I would assume for us old guys.

Hey now, I've still got some thread on me.

THRAWN

A few years back, the photo of JFK was posted somewhere...don't recall if here or on another board....and I am still wondering how many of those cadets are still involved in CAP.

Apparently for all us former cadinks who served around the time the earth cooled, dinosaurs roamed the earth and Christ was a Spec-4! (Like me - former cadink 1977-1984) :D

Briefs well.
Agree with everything you noted.
Looks like typical big CAP uncoordinated planning and ineffective execution.
