Dear colleagues

Our retired squadron Chaplain, Lt Col Jack Hemskey, died last week after spending a short time in hospice care.  He had served with CAP for 35 years in various positions, and had been a United Methodist minister for nearly 50 years.

Jack's health began to decline some two years ago and he decided to cut back on activities, which led him to retire from CAP in 2015.  He remained a visitor at our social activities and joined the cadets for their summer BBQ in August.  His health deteriorated rapidly in the Fall and his wife could no longer safely care for him at home.

Jack's funeral took place last week, and it was for the immediate family only.

He had previously served in FLWG.

If anyone wishes to send condolences to Mrs Hemksey, please PM me for the details.
