A Thunderbird crashed after the USAFA graduation today and a Blue Angel crashed while practicing for an airshow in Tennessee. The T-Bird pilot walked away from the crash, the Blues crash was fatal.

Both jets were #6.

I read that the Blue Angels pilot did his best to avoid hitting a residence.

6 Army soldiers from Fort Hood went missing today when a truck overturned in a creek. It's a creepy coincidence.

Very sad for the lives lost.

Creepy coincidence?  Yes, good for the superstitious.  Maybe a better testament to the status of more concrete issues that have fallen prey to other priorities... and which may be endemic.  Then again, maybe it's the 'media' effect where circulation requires blood, bent metal, and imagined connection.  Or maybe not.  Hopefully the accident investigations will look systemically as well as myopically.

The only thing with coincidence at least it was 3 things. Bad things happen in 3's.
