Title: Uniform Purchase
Post by: DougHolland on April 07, 2008, 11:00:23 PM
I'm a senior I'm looking at buying a new set of blues and I'm wondering what is the best place to buy them. Would you guys recommend Vanguard, the Hock Shop, or AAFES?

I'm tempted to go to my nearest military clothing store as I'll be able to try on several items before buying them and I suspect that they'll be cheaper than Vanguard.

As for the Hock shop, I recently ordered some name tapes for my daughter who is a cadet and I have to say the ones from Vanguard were better quality. Does anyone have any thoughts about the quality of the blues shirts / pants from the Hock, are they okay?

Thanks in advance,

For uniform clothing AAFES can't be beat, if you are near enough to a base.  For most everything else I'd go with Vanguard for the quality reasons already noted.

AAFES definately, cheaper, easier, better all around.

Vanguard products are usually better quality than items from the Hock Shop, but the Hock isn't that bad, and they are chaeper fo the most part. It's your choice though.
