Title: AF Officers service dress coat variants
Post by: Blackhawk on December 14, 2016, 01:27:55 AM
AAFES offer the AF Officers service dress coat in two different versions: 1.) DLATS; and 2.) Commercial.  Can anyone articulate any differences or opinions between the two other than the price?  DLATS ($111.99) and Commercial ($179.95).

DLATS is the "issue" version.  Commercial is the higher grade version like you would find at Vanguard.
DLATS uniform items are only available at Military Clothing Sales.

The officer coat with the epaulets is commercial. The DLATS one is the enlisted coat without epaulets.

You can get a conversion kit to add epaulets to the enlisted coat but by the time you pay for the kit and alterations you'd be better off just getting the officer coat.
