Title: Updating Wing Alert roster
Post by: cobra6987 on November 17, 2016, 02:50:08 AM
Hi everyone, I'm looking for input on what different wings do for their alert rosters.

My wing has been using a mail reflector for the alert roster. Now that we are transitioning to Office 365, it will become a distrobution group but acts basically the same way. With this, I can automatically add certain positions to the alert roster distro or manually add/subtract. Our wing alert roster manager likes to keep a very tight lid on access to the roster, allowing up to 3 people per squadron to receive it. I also know some wings have a signup that just makes sure you have OPSEC, 100, and 700.

My main question is, how does your wing controll access to alerting information? Is it role based? interest based? mixture of?

Everyone with GES gets on the list automatically. Messages go out to email and alpha pager (cell).

Tight lid? 3 per unit? Seriously?
