This is a pretty cool project I happened to stumble on over at the Cracked.com forums. What's interesting is how the project netted over twice the amount needed to fund it, which means there's still an active interest in the population for space exploration. At $300 a chip, it seems a bit much, but this is a great proof-of-concept that Private industry will probably take over space exploration.
What would be cool is if units got enough money to sponsor one and put the charter up along with a CAP text somewhere.
