Attached is an easier-to-follow guide to wearing the new blue CAP corporate uniform (aka the TPU). This guide should be up to date incorporating the current interim change - ahem, policy - letters, since the powers-that-be at NHQ CAP haven't bothered to release an updated CAPM 39-1.
Again, no distribution restrictions if used for CAP training purposes. Download away!
Captain, would you mind if I printed this stuff out, and shared it with my unit commander? These are extremely helpful.
No distribution or printing restrictions if used for CAP training. Go for it!
My commander sends his thanks!!! Are you working on something for the BDUs and BBDUs?

Not yet, but it's in the works.
I must tell you, I am so sick and tired of all the ongoing discussions about the CAP uniforms and hearing all the "Yes, buts". Admittedly, I have even said that after wearing the blue suit since I was 14 as a cadet and I am now 62 it's starting to get old.
But, Capt. Corway, this is simply OUTSTANDING. I intend to use it as a training aid for all my newbies (and even some of the old folks).
Great job sir.

Can't wear US Military Ribbons. Also no need to make reference to things that are not worn on the suit jacket "US Insignia". Why must you show incorrect uniform wear by Amy Courter?
AlphaSigOU, this is totally the best guide I have seen yet!! Great job and I hope I will see more of these in the future, but for BDUs and other uniform also. ;D

Mikey:
We better check that "Military ribbons" part. I thought there was a change that permitted wear of military ribbons IF the service issuing the ribbons permitted wear on civilian clothing on occasion. The Army permits wear of ribbons at "Attendance at meetings of military societies when such wear is apporpriate."

Could you clarify a little, Kach? Looked up the latest 670-1, and can't find anything on ribbon wear with civies. Found something on badges of "quasi-military societies" that reads similar to what you wrote, but nothing about ribbons.
I looked it up once, but I'll try again. 670-1 can be as hard to navigate as 39-1.
But, of more immediate concern, now I can't find where I read that military ribbons were allowed on the TPU if the issuing service allowed it.
Capt Corway,
One thing that you did not cover in your excellent guide is outerwear. What is acceptable to wear and what is not.
With the Grey Corporate combo you can wear any kind of coat you like. Is it the same with the new Blue Corporate uniform?

With the grey pants combo, there is a blazer and tie that is optional to wear. With the Corporate, there is a double breasted service coat similar to the one worn with the AF blues, but with the brushed two line name plate, CAP cutouts, and the ribbons.

He meant jackets, things to keep you warm or the wind out, like the light-weight jacket or all-weather coat...

Knowing that there are regulations in place, I've always been told to wear whatever is comfortable if you don't have the proper jacket. I just wear the service coat to prevent questions from coming about.

Yep, that is the information I seek.
The black windbreaker has been authorized for wear with the corporate service uniform.
I have not seen anything else, like the all-weather coat.
Black Leather jacket...
I've got a question:
Somewhere I read that ribbons from the RealMilitary could be worn on the TPU and its companion uniform, the Corporate Blues (Which sounds like either a band or a song griping about work, doesn't it?). I can't find where that is written in any authoritative context. Can anyone guide me?
I recall that it thought it odd that RM ribbons were authorized, but badges, including aviation badges, were outlawed.
Latest version, adds black windbreaker and A-2 leather jacket wear.

I finally found it!
If you look at the powerpoint presentation from Susie Parker from Aug 07, slides 7 and 8 specifically state that RM ribbons
can be worn on the corporate blue/white (TPU):
