Has anyone heard of the ARCHER Program? If so what is it?

Wow....CAP Planes are still carrying that ballast around? :o
The last that I heard was that fewer than six ARCHER units were still operational, out of the sixteen originally purchased. Ballast is a good term: hope that most Regions have removed them from the airplanes and stored them for future disposition. I am sure that the AF really appreciates the nearly $20 million that was spent on the units and the airplanes.
Supposedly fewer and fewer. Currently only 9 of the 16 systems are still functional/installed. CAWG gave theirs away (GA-8 + system) because it was such a dog.
