Why? We don't have all that much use for them...

That might actually be an FWA thing too.

Best use of money... probably not.... FWA? hardly....

I know you stated money would be used for cadets... but a better choice then putting cadets through EMT school would be to pay the fees for long standing senior members to be CPR certified to teach/certify others... That's a gift that keeps on giving...

Give someone a EMT cert... you may never see them again... they might end up being to busy working... as a EMT...

CPR/First Aid for cadets would have been enough...

I'm thinking FWA because it's money raised using CAP but will only be for personal gain. We have no use growing new EMTs. If they used it for uniforms or encampment or field gear or things of that nature I'd have zero problem with it.

#1 is a HS band which wants to spend 375K to perform at a NYC Parade? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

Hey, that's a big honor dude, and it takes that kind of money if your band needs new uniforms and you want to send them at no cost to the students.

$375,000 to send 175 Students from Florida to New York to perform once. So far they've raised 30K on their own. Besides the fact that at that rate all current members will probably be in college, why? Why not perform in the local community, support those who actually support them? I just view it as a waste of money honestly. They aren't getting new equipment or uniforms, a ton of that money is to transport their stuff across 7-8 state lines + the students.

$375,000 is WAY too much to send 175 people from FL to NYC.

$300 greyhound adult fare round trip Miami NYC. x 175 people = 52,500
$7 per meal x 3 meals/day x 175 x 7 days = 25,725
Large U-haul to carry equipment and follow bus = 2,500
$85 hotel x 89 rooms (2 per room) x 7 nights = 52,955
Unforseen Expenses = $10,000

52,500 + 25,725 + 2,500 + 52,955 = 10,000= $143,680

And honestly, you could do if for much less using group rates for bus and hotel expenses, or if the trip was via aircraft and they stayed for 1 or 2 days.

I despise Pepsi, I voted just because I'd like to see them spend money.
