Has anyone heard of the ARCHER Program? If so what is it?

BTW: Not sure if it went in General or Ops.

Using the search feature will turn up a lot of threads here dealing with ARCHER.

Many of them with less than positive commentary, too.   >:D

Wow....CAP Planes are still carrying that ballast around? :o

The last that I heard was that fewer than six ARCHER units were still operational, out of the sixteen originally purchased.  Ballast is a good term: hope that most Regions have removed them from the airplanes and stored them for future disposition.  I am sure that the AF really appreciates the nearly $20 million that was spent on the units and the airplanes.

Supposedly fewer and fewer. Currently only 9 of the 16 systems are still functional/installed. CAWG gave theirs away (GA-8 + system) because it was such a dog.

You're being unkind to dogs.  Dogs are useful.

OK, then, POS. And that doesn't mean Point of Sale.

Better?

Not really. Even that has a use.
