Betsy Currin Wallace of Wilmington, NC passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017. She was born March 18, 1941 in Wilmington the daughter of the late Garland and Helen Moffitt Currin. She was also preceded in death by her son, Christopher C. Wallace and her sister, Janet C. Davis.

Betsy graduated from New Hanover High School, Class of 1959. She graduated from Wilmington College in 1961 and attended the University of North Carolina. She earned her registered medical technologist certification from James Walker Hospital, and later retired from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Betsy was a licensed pilot and a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol. She was an avid gardener and a member of the Cape Fear Garden Club. She was a member of various square dancing clubs, more recently the 76'ers and the Warsaw See Saws.

Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Tom Wallace; her son, Tommy Wallace and wife Tina of Leland, NC; two grandchildren, Jensen and Thomas Wallace; and three nephews, Don Greene and wife Jill, Ben Greene and wife Suzy, and Andy Greene and wife Karen.
