I have recently stepped out to be the Group PD officer.  Being used to the programs on active duty (i.e. safety, training, CTK), I am looking to develop a program that is similar in standardization and transferability.  I know CAPR 50-17 has the basics.  However, I am looking for a best practice on running a successful program.  Please help with past experiences, events, schedules, and models to consider.    Thanks in advance!

At the group level your focus should be on maintaining contact with the unit PDO's and insuring they have the tools they need to execute their programs.

I would also suggest you work to coordinate and bring things like SLS/CLC/UCC/TLC, etc. to the group for your units.

Just doing those and the central coordination should basically complete your year.
