What specialty tracks are you in? What ratings do you have? What specialty tracks are you interested in?

Here's mine:

Administration - Senior

Personnel - Senior

Communications - Senior

Logistics - Technician

Emergency Services - None

*Note: Cadets can be enrolled in specialty tracks too with the approval of your unit commander. This note is just for the cadets who were unaware of that.*

Have you thought about enrolling in Administration? It's basically like Personnel, only you have to worry about updating and becoming familiar with the regs, mans and pamphlets. They really go hand in hand.

Yes I have, and I will probably do that since I do some of that already.  It never hurts to get credit for another specialty track.

I'm also thinking about Emergency Services, since I'm active in ground team.  We've already got plenty of ES officers right now though, so the unit doesn't really need another, unless I take a more specialized role like Disaster Relief Officer.

No, it doesn't hurt. I was just enrolled in ES since I transferred units, and they needed an ES officer. I too, am active in Ground Teams, so the new commander saw an opportunity to get some training, which I'm glad to oblige. If your unit commander is willing to assign an ES officer to the many roles in ES, that's awesome. I think it shows great utilization of assets. Something a lot of commanders should do if you ask me....not that you did though.

Also with Administration, there is no test like there is with Personnel. Just serve a year as a Technician, complete Level Two, and do your job in that year, and there should be no reason getting a senior rating fairly quick.

All I have left for the Senior rating in Personnel is to take the test.  Unfortunately, because it is outdated, I have to study up on the old way to do things to take the test.  I have submitted changes to the test up the chain; hopefully they will be made official.

After I get that Senior rating, all I have to do is attend another conference (which I will in October) and I'll complete Level III.

So far:

Communications - Technician

I've got the qualifications done for Technician in Safety, just haven't submitted it yet. My eventual goal is to get to Plans and Programs, so I need to start working on the pre-reqs.

I rate the following:

Cadet Programs - Tech - I have been in CP for many years but need the darn TLC.

ES - Senior - Maybe one day I will work at the wing level for the master...

Finance - Senior - A CPA in my squadron wanted this job before I could put in the time for master.

Administration - Tech - And no Lt Dove, you cannot have this job.  I need this position to get a master rating in something :)

Sure, no problem.  We'll let you get your master rating in that. ;)

You're just afraid that I'll get Level IV before you. >:D

Mine are:

Personnel - Master

Health Services - Master

Flight Operations - Master

Professional Development - Senior

Emergency Services - Technician

Command - Declared, no rating

Operations - Declared, no rating. Can't advance in Ops unless you can "meet the requirements" for both Flight Operations and Stan/Eval. Since I'm not a CFI (yet) I can't do Stan/Eval.

Took my Cadet Programs Tech test, but never actually signed off the rating. I need to do that.
