Nobody gives a [mess] about Flight Officers.
Former and current FO's, unite!
But no, really, maybe we can use this thread to explore the world of the FO, how we can utilize them best in the organization, etc etc.
I was an FO and qualified for TFO but no one did the paperwork, so I went to 2d Lt when I turned 21.
Anyway, I do think there can be a good use for FOs, just not sure exactly where, what and how.
Do you have a "Don't care either way" option? Regardless, thats my opinion.
Added, just for you Aaron. ;D
Frack'n polls.
Mister Fedor is hereby demoted to Flight Officer Third Class Lower Half. i.e. much less than FO.
What?!? :o
Cadets and Flight Officers are Brother and Sister Airmen. I was never a Flight Officer, but I am offended by this post.

Power corrupts. It is a stupid poll/thread though, Hence why I had to vote twice.

you forget to take your ritalin, shorning?
Before there were Flight Officers, there were Warrant Officers.
I moved from cadet captain to WO at start of my junior year in college....while I went to school relatively near squadron, could not get to all the meetings anymore.....which apparently was not a drawback to being a staff weenie amongst the senior types, as long as your work got done.
Back then most seniors (over 21 as well as under) were WOs or Chief WOs before getting their butterbars.
If you weren't a pilot, however, no one paid an awful lot of attention to a warrant (or Chief warrant) officer).
In that respect, I guess we were exactly like the FOs today!

Anyway, I do think there can be a good use for FOs, just not sure exactly where, what and how.
It goes as follows:
Quote
Hey FO Jones. I don't see any cadets, so I need a new cup of coffee with three sugars and a dash of cream. While you're at it, I need a donut too.

Anyone who entertains the idea of treating Flight Officers like that has my scorn and is not a person I want in the Civil Air Patrol.
You'd be surprised.
I was once told, as a TFO, that I could not supervise an activity, because I was "Still a cadet, just with different stuff on the uniform"
General Colgan, on the other hand, ran an SLS and BCOP weekend when he was a TFO. At the same time.
FOs make good LBE
It would appear that at present more people think this is a stupid poll, or don't care than give a [mess] about Flight Officers.

I ran a good bit of stuff as a TFO. There are two secrets to this: 1. How you carry yourself and use your evil powers, and 2. Donuts.
Well, that was my fault for giving people more then 2 options I guess.

3. Your trusty CAP Sword.
Hey... Who screwed with the poll? >:(
Good question, Mr. "I can vote more then you can vote" :P
That's just not democratic.
Lock?? Can I get a Lock?
**sigh**
Since Fedor has skewed the results in his favor by deleting the third and more popular option... and since this thread was stupid to begin with...
