Title: Let's talk sensor suites
Post by: Holding Pattern on July 03, 2019, 07:12:21 PM
Here is an example of one company that did a demo of a radiological sensor on a drone:

What other sensor suites are out there that we should be considering as options to make our drones a more salable asset to local/state/federal agencies?

Most sUAS already have a pretty sophisticated weather sensor package installed. You just need the right decoding table to interpret the data.

EDIT - Accidentally Accidentally a word.

Headquarters addressed some of that in the Webinar. Please see it linked in another thread. Infra-red for SAR, and more. I would not expect to see it in every Squadron, but there will be more and more of these types of things in the "push packs" that will be set to an incident.

Here's the drop box link for the meteorological data interpretation tables.
