I'm pretty sure my squadron website has been hacked by some middle eastern person by the looks of their name.

Would appear so as it read "Allah-Akbar Hacked By osm@n Was here osm@n is Alone Team & osm@n artık Tek bAŞINA)"
or at least someone posing as an islamic person.  Given my very limited arabic, Allah-Akbar translates to Allah(God) is great and is most commonly used following attacks.   Osman was the first Ottoman emperor and launched the campaign of global conquest against the west, so I suppose read into as you will.  artık Tek bAŞINA seems to be Turkish, which makes sense at the Ottoman empire was Turkish, not Arab, but I cant quite get a translation on it except that Tek seems to mean "a single thing".  Single thing... Alone Team...? YMMV

Ill keep working on this and tell you what I find.

Update:  It looks like Osm@n is his hacker-handle, a quick google search of "Hacked By Osm@n brings up alot of websites with the same sort of hack.

here is a whole forum talking about him:

And he left this link at one of the sites:  http://www.drawmohammed.com/

Whoever runs your site needs to revamp security.  The site referenced by Osm@n appears to be associated with Cyber-Warrior TIM, who has links to a major hacking group that does attacks, also associated with Team Evil Arab which recently hacked more than 700 banks, hospital and companies.  See the full article here(http://www.zone-h.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=13791&Itemid=30&msgid=407).  Drawnmohammed was a site that published the Mohammed Cartoon (the same cartoons that were published by the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten and that provoked an incredible wave of defacements against Danish websites, as reported by Zone-H few months ago ) , and of insulting Islamic values, so in turn they Turkish hackers stole the site.  Pretty much, this guy, or if not him people he might have contacts to are no joke.  Be carefull and work to secure the site.

Tell Capt Perry about it.

BTW, did you enjoy encampment?

That would be good advice if he were the squadron webmaster.  Actually, even then it wouldn't be good advice, because if you get hacked and don't do anything about it, you're pretty much inviting regular hackings.

This is what I was talking about last week.

These people, Arab or not, LOVE to hack CAP websites.  For whatever reason, I don't know.

The reason is simple, they state it very straight forwardly in the letter they sent to Zone-h securities.  "You keep abusing, Islam's almighty Prophet with disgusting and
disgraceful cartoons using excuses of freedom of speech.
No doubt, Hz. Isa ( Christ ) would dislike and hate your nation.
Be God's Curse On You !
We Will be Your Curse on Cyber World !"

Thats pretty much an statement of open cyber-war on anything they perceive to be anti-islam.  Now the person who hacked the website, Osm@n merely links the www.drawnmohhamed.com site in one of the sites that he hacked, meaning he is either involved with them, or simply wants to try and give them some credit.

Excellent, I'm glad to hear that.  That was my 10th encampment, and it was one of the better ones (from a command staff perspective), so it's always nice to hear the in-flight cadets enjoyed it as well.
