Should we bring back the enlisted grades for senior members? What is your opinion?

No...not needed...does not fit into our professional develoment system...no way to progress.

The SM airman grades still exist, on a limited basis. They are assigned, by request, to former and current enlisted folks from the RealMilitary™ in NCO grades (>E-4 for AF, >E-3 for all others), but they are stuck there unless they are still AD and get a promotion within their service.

As for making them a regular part of the CAP grade system, I agree with Pat - we don't need them.

I think we have too many ranks and or grades now.

We dont need them.  It makes no differnece what symbole we use to recognize advancement.  Just stick with Officer ranks.

What is your reason for asking the question?  A new proposal or just rhetorical?  That horse needs to be buried - no amount of beating is going to get it moving.

Can we please not bring this up again.  There are numerous threads on the subject here.

The current regulation works fine for prior service folks...
