We are in the process of rebuilding the cadet side of our composite squadron.  We are starting back the beginning with new cadet program leadership, too.  Are there lesson plans available for taking cadets through their first year?  If so, where?  I thought I saw something on the NHQ website, but i cannot find it again, now.  Also, it did not seem to start and step one.  For example, the drill training for week #1 was on column movements, rather than the standing and facing movements.

Thanks in advance for any help

Yes - the Great Start program is where you want to be.

"Cadet Great Start is a comprehensive introduction to CAP for new cadets. It transforms a cohort of ordinary youth into cadet airmen in 5 short weeks, while giving cadet NCOs and officers opportunities to apply their leadership skills.

The core curriculum remains useful to squadrons and their cadets, but some content is not up-to-date, as certain aspects of cadet life have evolved since Cadet Great Start was first introduced. For example, there's no mention of the Curry Blues Voucher, CEAP, the New Cadet Guide, or the Active Cadet Fitness Program.

Accordingly, squadron staff who want to implement the current edition of Cadet Great Start will need to improvise a bit during some lessons.

Updating Cadet Great Start is a top priority in 2018. The 2018 draft will be posted here as it becomes available."
