I posted in the closed 60-1 thread that the new 60-1 would be released on Monday, and I need to correct that.

Due to the illness of a NHQ administrative employee whose responsibilities involve the release of the regulation, there will be a slight delay.

We are now scheduled to release it to commanders on 09 NOV, and out to the field on 13 NOV.

It will still have an effective date of 01 FEB 2018, but units will be able to transition to the new fitness program immediately, at their option

Thank you for your patience and understanding.  Nobody wants to get this out the door more than we do.  Let's all hope for a speedy recovery for the corporate team member!

It is 9 minutes until the close of business on the appointed day. Is it only being released to Wing Commanders and above or is it delayed (again)?

Well, so much for patience and understanding, huh.

It is out, to Wing/CCs, and before COB for central time zone (NHQ) for those who care.

No, the old 60-1 is becoming 70-1 (even though it still references other current 60-series regs) and the old 52-16 is becoming 60-1. Clear as mud?

Nothing in Ned's previous posts hinted that it would only be sent to Wing CCs as opposed to all CCs, so I think that it's perfectly understandable to question whether it was out yet or delayed again, especially when it was supposed to be out for everyone back in October.

No.

The bottom of page one of 70-1 states that it 'supersedes' 60-1.  So all copies of 60-1 should be discarded and taken offline, correct?

Yes, this isn't that document. This is about the new 60-1 which replaces the old 52-16. Totally different publications.
