Because they're not authorized by CAPR 60-1, that's why. That and the fact they would make a terrible search airplane.

Did you ask your question to get an answer or did you ask to argue? You asked. I answered.

You might consider watching your tone.

The USCG uses Falcon jets as well as helicopters for SAR.

Flying Pig

Jets with multi million dollar optics on them.  C130s also. Helicopters are a no-brainer of course.

I s'pose when CAP becomes responsible for searching millions of square miles of oceans, NHQ can rethink their position on the subject.

For what? You asked "Dose [sic] CAP have any jets?" What the USCG has seems somewhat irrelevant. We don't have any tanks either, although the Army and the Marines do.

Whatever? Can we have helicopters?

Cadet Robichaux,

Dropping your signature block doesn't give you freedom to lose your bearing.

The answer to your helicopter question is found in the same regulation you could have looked in to find out about jets.

Cadet, do you read what you type before hitting the submit button?  Would your Unit Commander respond to you telling him "whatever" after you asked him a question?

In response to your additional question, I suggest you take the test for GES.  In doing so you will learn the answers to these questions (or where to find them).

Dude......if you are going to ask a question....it is considered polite to at least accept the answer as true.

If you don't trust the source of your answer.......why did you even ask it?

Methinks the lad has a misplaced sense of entitlement.

I think I may have to draft a memorandum to a group commander in Nebraska (or the wing commander, if NE has no groups).
