The 'correct' way to sign a CAP email?

Hey!

So just a question, is there a 'correct' way to sign a CAP email? One of my fellow cadets and I had a bit of an argument on it.
He said that you should sign it:
C/Amn John Smith
*Position held in squadron*
*Squadron here*
Civil Air Patrol

My view was:
JOHN K. SMITH, C/Amn CAP
*Staff position held in squadron*
*Squadron here*

We took it up with another cadet, who said it really didn't matter.

So I just wanted to know, what is YOUR pulse on this?

Oh, and John Smith isn't really a cadet, just thought I should let you all know that. :)

CAPR 10-1 would be a good rule of thumb since it covers signature elements.  Doesn't specifically address email correspondence though.

It always matters - both for professionalism and attention to detail.
So does not having an email like "hottiecapboi1996@aol.com".   ::)

Just like forum sigs, shorter/smaller is better IMO.  Mustang's example is about right while Eclipse's is a bit long.  I think what Eclipse is trying to accomplish with his longer sig (external communications) would be better suited to attaching a document on properly formated letterhead.

Adding a unit name, email address, and phone number to a email signature is a good idea as well.

I believe there was something published in the last year or so about not using USAF AUX in the signature element.
